Junior teams are from U12 to U16

The Open Age team is from 16+

Elmbridge Eagles took part in the last festival at the HIVE in Wembley, where they played against several London teams. Some fantastic rugby was played and all primary age groups had a lot of successful games.  After the festival they all rushed to Wembley Stadium where they were lucky enough to take part in the walk around the pitch with the other teams, before the Challenge Cup Final!

Congratulations to Elmbridge Eagles U16s Jack Smith and Nathan Kosbab who have won their third International Cap for Scotland against Ireland at the home of Newcastle Thunder R.L club. The game was fiercely contested as you would expect with Scotland winning by 30 -24.

Commiserations to Elmbridge Eagles U14s who reached the finals but lost to Bromley Bengals 28 v 0 in the last game.  Despite the disappointment, the U14s have played amazingly all season and it is a great achievement to have made the finals!

Elmbridge Eagles Club had their annual awards evening in the gorgeous sunshine. There was a huge tug of war as well as lots of fun activities, food and drink and we got to show our appreciation to all the players, as well as the outstanding coaches, staff and volunteers of the club.  Well done to everyone who took part this season! And thank you to everyone who enabled it all to happen.  We are looking forward to 2020 season!

News this week:

Elmbridge Open Age are on a roll! After  securing their first win of the season last week with a 28 v 0 victory against Newham Dockers, they have done it again, this time with a 22 v 16 win against Lodon Chargers 'A' !

Elmbridge U14s were in the Semi Finals against Hemel Stags where they remain unbeaten this Season, with a 16 v 4 victory against Hemel Stags!  This means it's the finals this weekend! Good Luck Boys!


Elmbridge U13s sadly lost out to Rutlish Warriors 52 v 24 in the Semi Finals last Saturday but what an acheivement to make the last 4!

News this week:

Elmbridge Open Age secured their first win of the season with a 28 v 0 victory against Newham Dockers! 

Elmbridge U14s beat Richmond Warriors 16 v 34. They are in the Semi Finals next week with a match against Hemel Stags.


Elmbridge U13s lost out to Hemel Stags 16 v 68, but despite the loss, will play Rultish Warriors in the Semi Finals. on Saturday.

However, our U16s lost to Rutlish 6 v 42 in the playoffs, which ends their season. We look forward to the U15s returning next season and the U16s moving up to the Open Age.

Our under 9s and U11s had a fabulous time at the Richmond Festival. The U9s entered 2 teams, with both teams showing great development in their rugby league skills. The U11s showed great team work and played some strong physical rugby league culminating in a great performance against Woolston Rovers from Warrington.

Elmbridge U13s lost out to Noth Herts 52 v 26

However, this still means that all our Junior teams have made it to the Play Offs this year! Well done Eagles!

Danny Ward, Head Coach of London Broncos and now Assistant GB Head Coach (congratulations Danny!) came with two Broncos Players, James Meadows and Matt Davies, to put on a huge coaching session for all the Eagles, followed by an indepth Q and A session in the Club House.

The Primaries attended and enjoyed greatly the Festival at London Skolars. Also there were the Elmbridge U13s who won against the home side 36 v 24.

Elmbridge U14s played away at Medway and have secured their place in the pay offs!

Elmbridge U16 had an away fixture against Bromley and won comfortably 46 v 18.

Elmbridge Open Age played well but lost at home against s 58 v 6.

Elmbridge U14s played away at Rutlish Warriors and after a slow start overcame a physical home team with a 42 v 24 win keeping them Top of the Table!

Elmbridge U16 had a home fixture against St Albans and won comfortably 34 v 16.

Elmbridge Open Age played bravely but lost away against London Skolars 54 v 14.

It was the Elmbridge Eagles Primary Festival on Saturday 8th June. Over 150 kids came to play Rugby League from 8 teams all across London, and all had a great time.  We even had a Royal Airforce Flyover for the volunteers cleaning up at the end (!)....

Also - U16 lost away 44 v 26 at Invicta and U14s won at home 20 v 16 against Hemel  with a great second half come back!

U14s Summer 9s Bash at Elmbridge Eagles!

The U14s played a 9s tournament at home at Elmbridge against 8 other London teams and we couldn't have asked for better weather!

Bromley Bengals (Cup Winners), Medway Dragons (Plater Winners), St Albans, Rutlish Raiders, Richmond Warriors, Invicta Panthers (Plate Runners Up), Brentwood Eels,  Elmbridge Eagles (Cup Runners Up) and a guest player from Hemel Stags all played.

Elmbridge U14s were the Cup Runners Up

In other matches, the U13 lost 54 v 30 against Rutlish Raiders

The U16s won 44 v 6 against Hemel Gold

The Open Age also played away at Medway Dragons with a 58 v 16 loss.

Match day for Elmbridge Eagles U16s, U14 and Open Age:

Elmbridge U16s lost out to Brentwood away 0-24.

Elmbridge U14s won against Brentwood  54-4 away. They are now top of the league.

Elmbridge Open Age lost out to Medway at home, 0-26 in their second match of the season. Thanks to Match Ball Sponsor Cameron Goodwin playing in his 7th Season at Elmbridge!

Also - Congratulations to Elmbridge Eagle Josh Bull, who played in the recent Scotland Students R.L warm up game V Keighley Cougars.

6 Apr 19 saw our U13s in action against Rutlish on Saturday. Despite the 16-40 loss they played fantastically against a tough opposition.

The U14s also played at home against Richmond and enjoyed a fabulous 34-28 win.

The U16 played bravely away against Hemel Blues but also had a tough opposition and lost 36-8.
