Elmbridge Eagles Need Your Help

Wanted:

  1. MEMBERSHIP: Please spread the word across all age groups.. if you would be prepared to ask your school / College / University / other local sports clubs to send out a Club poster with their various newsletters and updates.. please contact us
  2. VOLUNTEERS: We are looking for volunteers from each age group; (U7, U9, U11, U13, U14, U16 and Open Age) to get involved in the running of your Club and age group; First aiders, Management Representatives, Touchline Managers, Child Welfare Support, Social media assistance, fund raising, general help on game days, etc...
  3. MATCH OFFICIALS: We are looking for a few parents 'and/or' Open age players(16 +) to sign up for a Match officials course - with a view to helping out on Primary Festivals and Junior fixtures. We have found this has been great in the past for teenagers in the 16-18 age zone to qualify/ learn more about the game and earn a few pounds match fees when officiating junior games: Saturday 15th February 2020 at the OCs - The cost of the course will be ?20, payable on the day. The course is a mixture of 4 modules, both practical and theory, so you will need to bring suitable a packed lunch / clothing for both indoors and outdoors. Please bear in mind the weather on the day! The course will run from 9am to 5pm. ALL candidates, prior to attending the course, will need to undertake the Laws Of The Game module on the RFL website, see here -https://www.rugby-league.com/get_involved/match_officials/become_a_match_official.   4. COACHES: We are also looking for parents and Open Age players / University / College or Upper 6Th Form students to complete their coaching badges. Some financial assistance is available from the Club to support a few candidates, the next course is a 4 Day Level 2 Coaching Course @ London Skolars Rugby League, London, N22 5QW: 9am - 5pm on; Saturday Feb 8th, Sunday Feb 9th, Saturday Feb 15th and Sunday 15th March.
