Elmbridge Eagles Commence their 2019 Season

All 3 Junior age groups were in action for Elmbridge at the weekend as the Club looked to complete registration to the London Junior League for each Junior age group.

The Under 16s were at Eastern Rhinos RL in Colchester, the Under 14s being at Hemel Stags RL Hemel Hempstead and the Under 13s being at Brentwood Eels RL, for the opening 9s festivals of the season.

A skilful and young Under 13s side from Elmbridge gained many admirers from their first event.

The Under 14s (photo below) just lost out in the Plate Final to an R.L experienced Hemel Stags.

The Under 16s made the long journey to Colchester in an evenly contested 9s.

Thank you for all the parent's support so far and for the parents who made the long journeys to the games, without your input the boys wouldn't be able to play. 

Well done to the boys who completed our registration to the London Junior League by entering the opening London 9s of the season. The boys played with a real spirit and bottle, none of them were scared to get stuck in and when they moved the ball they did so incredibly well. The feedback from Carl Horsman the organiser was that on balance Elmbridge played the best rugby in terms of ball retention and attacking flare, praise indeed.
